No one wants to read a novel about modern day Asians, especially rich ones. If you change the main character to a white girl, maybe youll get a book deal. We dont have the same kind of Asians here in England. No one is going to get it. These are some of the comments I heard from publishing folks before I submitted my manuscript two years ago. But you readers have certainly proven them wrong! Today the Paperback edition of CRAZY RICH ASIANS hits bookstores around North America. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for your incredible support. Youve made it possible for me to continue telling the story. (And yes, Im working every day to finish Book Two!) Please help me spread the word about the new paperback by telling your friends about it today.
