No other song can break me down like this one can. My father was truly a Simple Man, I would loved to have gotten to know my Father better, to have learned his mundane complexities. That chance will have to wait until the day I pass away myself. Normally, I run and hide when I hear this song, bc I cry like an abandoned child when I hear it. Today though I think I can let out my emotions, my sadness, my heartache, and hopefully be able to recall my Dad with a smile rather than a tear next time.
