No person has the right to take anothers life. No-one deserves to die, not matter what their crimes, even those who perpetrate the worst crimes - and expressing opposition to a regime is certainly not one of the worst crimes. We diminish our selves, die a little bit inside every time we support the imposition of death for it is not our choice to impose on others. Every time we sanction blood lust inspired vengeance, we admit our collective failure to evolve into a species that are better than this. Over coming our instinct to vengeance is the hardest trial we face, but it must be done for our own sakes and therefore the sake of the collective. It is futility to believe otherwise.
