No pictures to show of dropping of Zoe and Henry at Camp Westminster yesterday.. only mental images to keep to myself.. They were so excited and had plenty of time to get over any nerves they may have had as holiday traffic coming from South Georgia was brutal and we were 3 hours late.. When we drove down Lake Rockaway Road and came to the white fences they both started screaming!!! It was perfect timing as all the kids were gathering for dinner by the dining hall and I got to meet both of their counselors and their cabin mates were excited to see them! I looked around because I had Finn but Lucy had slipped away and was standing in line all tall and proud with all the other girls from Zoes cabin. Bless her heart, i think she thought if she acted the part we might let her stay. She saw me head towards her and Zoe gave her a hug bye bye and she let out an ear piercing scream and started a tantrum just as all the counselors screamed Welcome to Camp Westminster!!!!! I grabbed her up and we quickly slipped off and I was a little sad that I didnt get a pic of the kids with their cabins or get to help them make up their beds as I had imagined but we left with thankful hearts that they had the opportunity to go to camp for the first time and have this once in a lifetime first camp experience with sweet friends.
