No princess ever looked as beautiful as she did for her special - TopicsExpress

No princess ever looked as beautiful as she did for her special night. She taken time to select the right dress and all the accessories to go with it. The perfect pair of shoes as well as the right purse that would blend so good with her dress. Everything was going together so well and she would be the most beautiful girl at the dance. Extra time was taken to make sure every hair was in place and her make up was put on just right. Her eyes were as beautiful as the evening star as it shines so bright. She had taken special time to select just the right perfume that would fill the air with the most pleasant aroma. Not over bearing or too strong, just a soft aroma that would make those around smile and take notice. He arrived at the scheduled time dressed to a “t”. No Philadelphia lawyer ever looked better. He escorted her in and as he did, they got the attention of everybody around. Little did he realize that all eyes were on his date. Several songs had been played and young couples were dancing away and yet, in the midst of all the fun and excitement, those around could hear a voice reprimanding one of the most beautiful girls at the dance. The music had stopped and that young man who was with the most beautiful girl around was more concerned about the way she danced. “Don’t step on my suede shoes!” He had gotten all upset because there was a small scuff on one of his shoes. It just so happened that another young man was walking through the audience and over heard that young man complaining about his shoes. He wondered to himself how could that guy could be so concerned about a small scuff mark on a shoe when he had this most beautiful girl as his date. On this journey called Life, isn’t it amazing how at times, insignificant things rob us of the real beauty that is all around us. Instead of enjoying the music in the air, a dance with a princess, a good time to be had and a memory to made, we tend to worry about little things that are unimportant after all. Oh yeah, that other young man who was walking through the audience at a college dance in 1955 was Carl Perkins. That night he would begin writing the words of a song that was one of the first rockabilly songs ever recorded . There is not that many people who have never heard the song “Blue Suede Shoes”. Of course while Carl did a pretty good job, most of us remember who did it best. It was Elvis, so they say, and remember…tomorrow… there will be ..More to Come. “One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and ……….this weekend make a memory go cat go……””
