No storm lasts forever and it’s because of the storm that I appreciate sunshine all the more… I’m not a fan of the rain. Bad weather in long periods causes me to become depressed, it affects me mentally and emotionally. But, without the routine downpour of rain, life as we know it would cease to exist. Plants could not grow, thus providing us the oxygen we breathe every day. Just a small deficit causes us to go on restrictions, being limited to the amount we can use during the day. Truly, without water, we would die. I’m not a fan of tribulation either. I don’t like to fight or feel I’m going to end up in a situation where I’ll need to defend myself or someone I’m with. I prefer to go through life peacefully, but I know that’s not how life works. Struggles present themselves, arguments occur even amongst those who genuinely love one another. Shortcomings take place, mistakes are made, and disappointments arise. But, it’s because I go through these things that I appreciate God in my life all the more. It’s in going through the rain that I see how much God is in my life and how much He cares for me and provides for me. I look at an empty wallet, but a full refrigerator and gas tank and know that’s nothing but God. I watch my children grow and although they stress me to no not end, to see their growth and development, that’s nothing but God. I look at my wife and even when we don’t agree on things, we still love another and that’s nothing but God. Life is never perfect and it never will be because the entity in control of the earth at this time is all about chaos. But, it’s because of the devil’s darkness, that we appreciate God’s light and it’s because of the problems that the devil causes that we should go to God for His solutions all the more. It’s because of the rain that I appreciate the sunshine that much more and it’s because of dealing with how bad the devil is that I appreciate God’s goodness even more.
