No surprises in Southwick town elections SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – Jeanne Reed Waldron won the only contested race in Southwick’s annual town elections Tuesday. Waldron won a one-year term on the Southwick Park and Recreation Commission by a better than two-to-one margin over opponent Jocelyn Linnekin. Waldron garnered 175 votes to Linnekin’s 83 votes. All 13 of the other races on the ballot were uncontested, and won by the people whose names were on the ballot. In many cases, blank ballots widely outnumbered the write-in votes. Voter interest was low. According to the unofficial totals from Southwick Town Clerk Michelle Hill, voter turnout was 4.31%. 278 of the town’s 6,450 registered voters bothered to go to the polls Tuesday.
