No, they are not really the idiots that appear to be, they realize that there are a lot of American citizens who are ignorant fools and some who are just plain stupid and that they can use to their political advantage these emotional scenarios to gain support from the masses of idiots to infringe on the arms rights of the responsible, intelligent, patriotic, constitutional oath keepers who actually have what it takes to slightly complicate a sudden and all out take over of the country by tyrants and/or dictators. They are not stupid, they understand this one thing : You can fool all of the people some of the time, Some of the people ALL OF THE TIME(these are the idiots I refer to), BUT YOU CANNOT FOOL ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME. So, they are currently using the support from some of the people in effort to gain the power and control that they need to follow through with their new world order and attain a worldwide power structure in which the right to life and liberty is at their discretion. This is why.... we might have to kill some of the stupid people... the fools who lack basic reasoning, discernment and common sense.
