No two weddings are ever the same. Each and every one is unique. - TopicsExpress

No two weddings are ever the same. Each and every one is unique. Just like no two people are ever the same, each love story is also unique. I get to meet different people every Saturday or Sunday (and sometimes even on any given weekdays) at weddings. And I would feel privileged every time to witness the uniqueness of the story each couple share. Today, I would like to share with you the same-day edited video of Ebert and Cindy. Talk about uniqueness - this couple had not only one, but two, holy matrimonies. In two different religious ceremonies. Buddhist and Catholic. In the morning, they said their wedding vows to each other in the Buddhist ceremony and later in the day, they were blessed again before the Catholic altar. It was, needless to say, a very busy morning for Ebert and Cindy. But their happiness was truly apparent. This got me thinking about love. You don’t get to choose who you fall in love with. Cupid can hit you anytime with that tiny little arrow he’s carries on his back and instantly, you’re in love. It might not be the love story you’ve dreamt about before; it might not even be with someone “your type”; the time and place might be so far off from your ideals that you just can’t believe its happening, but yet it is. And by the time you decide to give in to the love, you stop fighting it and start fighting for it. But here’s the good news - no matter how far off it is from your ideals, if you want it bad enough to fight for it, you will see that there will be a way for you to be together. I’ve learned from Ebert and Cindy that the man-made rituals called religion cannot be considered as a barrier to everlasting love. Love can grow and last despite the differences. Love can defy that difference - as long as you want to fight for it. I respect couples such as Ebert and Cindy. I can imagine their journey to get to where they were on that day must not have been easy. I can understand the happy tears that ran down Ebert’s face as he professed his everlasting love to Cindy. Couples who fight for love and fight to be together are beautiful. Their love story is unique and beautiful. Ebert and Cindy - you are beautiful. Love, Jimmy
