Nobody can harm Jonathan –Cleric APRIL 19, 2014 The Chaplain to President Goodluck Jonathan, Ven. Obioma Onwuzurumba, on Friday, said despite the prevailing situation in the country, nobody can take the President’s life. He said no human being had the capacity to determine how long a fellow human being would live on the surface of the earth. Onwuzurumba spoke in a short exhortation he delivered during a special Good Friday service held at the Aso Villa Chapel. The clergyman who took his text from Luke 23:46 said the President remained unstoppable to men. “Nobody can take the President’s life until he is done. You cannot determine how long a human being will live,” he said. The cleric, however, urged all those in attendance to prepare for death by making peace with God. He said it does not matter the manner in which man dies whether through sickness or accident. What matters, according to him, is the person who would receive the deceased’s soul at the point of death. He said although some people could claim not to see the transformation going on in various sectors in the country under the present administration, the positive developments were real. He therefore urged Nigerians to continue to lift up the country and the President in prayers. In doing so, the cleric said the nation would soon overcome its various challenges. Jonathan attended the service with his mother, Eunice. The President’s wife, Patience, was absent. The service featured the reading and short exhortations on the seven words of Jesus Christ on the cross. Some of those who took the readings were the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Joan Ayo; Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, Mr. Olajide Adeniji; the chapel’s administrator, Mr. Abba Mshelia; and the wife of the chaplain.
