Nobodys Child is a song written by Cy Coben and Mel Foree, first - TopicsExpress

Nobodys Child is a song written by Cy Coben and Mel Foree, first recorded by Hank Snow in 1949 and covered a number of times in the UK, including a cover by Lonnie Donegan in 1956. This version is by Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers (The Beatles) in 1961 in Hamburg. Tony Sheridan (vocal), John Lennon (rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (bass), George Harrison (lead guitar), and Pete Best (drums). An interesting note from the Wikipedia entry on Tony Sheridan: The word Beatles was judged to sound too similar to the Hamburgisch dialect word Pidels (pronounced peedles), the plural of a slang term for penis, hence the 1962 album was credited to Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers. After the Beatles had gained fame, the album was re-released in the United Kingdom, with the credit altered to Tony Sheridan and The Beatles
