The Boss - on balanced leadership We are thrilled and honoured to welcome Stine Bosse to speak for our group on Wednesday, April the 30th. Stine is one of the most well-known and powerful women in the Danish Business World. From 2003-2011 she served as Group CEO of TrygVestas, the second largest insurance company in Nordic. She is a member of international boards and the chair of several organizations. In spring 2010, Stine was appointed Advocate for the Millennium Development Goals by the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, to fight world hunger and poverty. Stine is also Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School and is recognized for her exceptional effort to renew the Danish society leadership. She is widely known in the public for her direct and no-nonsense communication and is enthusiastically engaged in the societal debate for a better and safer world. She is a role model for many aspiring young people as the highest ranking female CEO in Denmark and was appointed the 22nd most influential business woman in the world in 2009 and 2010 by the Financial Times. Stine has recently published a (Danish) book on balanced leadership. Stine’s keyword is balance. As she says herself, “For me balance is the key to high earnings, satisfied customers, a healthy workplace and good relationships with the surrounding society. And that’s what I’ve chosen to write about in this book.” In this engaging and energetic talk, Stine will share her own experiences - what went well and the situations that gave her learning opportunities. As the Chairperson at the Royal Danish Theatre she will share observations regarding being the leader for an organization consisting of artistic/ prima-donna/ specialized knowledge-worker type of employees.
