Noise pollution Many Nigerians are partially deaf, they or we - TopicsExpress

Noise pollution Many Nigerians are partially deaf, they or we do not know. Part of the signs are that when we talk in low tone, our listeners do not hear or comprehend us clearly. We are use to shout or talk in a pitch before we are heard on the phone or we are poor in hearing people talking to us in low tone. One of the sources of our partial deafness is due to noise pollution from our environment, particularly music from our neighbouring homes, vehicular noise, nearby grinding machines and recently I better pass my neighbour (era of Generator) life style. I was forced to buy generator for my households just because of noise nuisance to the household, neighbours and natural environment. Soon or later, many people around me, I mean resident in all houses around us also procured their own generator individually and it becomes unhealthy, competitions, indirectly health hazards, financial drains in our pulse or pocket, fire risk and uncontrollable source of noise pollution. Very few of the people with generators do so just because they want to charge their phones, because power output of the generator can not even carry two ceiling fans talk less or iron or deep freeze and TV. In my schools days, light off means, no light to read, do my assignments, iron my dress, heat or no fan sleep and stay longer without going to bed. Noise pollution from generator will damage of ear drum, cause avoidable partial deafness if not halted.
