Nokia shows off flexible tri and bi fold displays @ the SID 2014 Nokia has officially jumped into the flexible display race along with LG and Samsung. At the recently held SID (or Society of Display Information) exhibition, Nokia along with Semiconductor Energy Laboratory (SEL) demoed two flexible book-type 5.9-inch OLED screens that can be folded into two and a three-fold displays. Nikkei reports these displays are built using what the company calls “WTC” structure, which is essentially a combination of white light-emitting OLEDs and color filter. The interesting bit is that these displays can be folded while they are displaying a video and can be bent up to radii of two millimeters and four millimeters respectively.
