Nominated by Agnivo Niyogi to share the list of 10 movies that made an impact on me.Thanks, Aagan Da. These are the movies which could be the subjects of my conversations all the time! 1. Snatch - Guy Ritchies masterpiece, undoubtedly tops my list 2. Frost/Nixon - A movie based on one of the most shattering tv interviews of modern world. 3. Chronicle - Unusually simple, ethereally powerful. A superhero movie shot in a found footage format. 4. The Departed - Scorseses best, this is a movie that hits your head with its screenplay , like a shrapnel! 5. Network - The movie of the 70s that raised the point of manipulative electronic media- to think they got it all right almost half a decade back! Superb language. 6. The Chaser - Difficult to choose between the Korean thrillers, my search had to narrow down to this one. Watch it if you havent. Its tragic, bold and overpowering. 7. Shonaar Kella - A story about reincarnation, added with some mystery and crime-fighting. Satyajit Rays brilliance will sweep you away! 8. Shor in the City - Our industry needs to make more such movies. Simple plot, lots of dots getting connected and the end product is something truly epic. 9. Django Unchained - Because its Quentin Tarantino so that seals the deal. 10. Moonrise Kingdom - A story of two children falling in love and deciding to run away together. This stays here simply because of Wes Andersons signature direction and well-sprinkled humor. There are many more, oh so many are there which I would like to add. But this list sums it up well.
