Nominations Wanted for mARTies – Student Edition Event: mARTies Student Edition – Class of 2015 Deadline for Nominations: October 1, 2014 When: November 19, 2014 Where: The Barn Theatre Who: The Arts Council of Martin County For Immediate Release (September 25, 2014) Stuart, FL: The Arts Council of Martin County announces the mARTies Awards Student Edition – Class of 2015, which will be held at The Barn Theatre on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM. The awards program and student performances will start at 7:30 PM. The window for student nominations in the performing and visual arts are now open. If you know a student who is deserving of this recognition and is a senior in high school, please contact the Arts Council (287-6676) for a nomination form or visit the website at martinarts.org for more information – don’t delay, the deadline is just around the corner on October 1, 2014. Students selected to win a mARTie Award will also receive a $500 scholarship. “The mARTies celebrate not just artistic talents but also the civic engagement that so many of youth demonstrate every day. They start young giving their time, talent and treasure!” stated Nancy Turrell, executive director.
