Nominations open for eligible students to enter the 2014 Consensus - TopicsExpress

Nominations open for eligible students to enter the 2014 Consensus Student Innovation Awards. Contact Bill Kirkpatrick for more information or check out the website: consensus.au/sia_index.html This email is announcing a new award program for Australian university student innovation; expanding on the NASSCOM Innovation Student Awards programs that Consensus Group has managed for NASSCOM Australia the past two years. Whereas the previous programs were for student developed innovation specific to the Information Technology arena this program by Consensus Group is open to any and all student developed innovation, regardless of being IT or non-IT. The Consensus Student Innovation Awards are open to any innovation across all disciplines - we welcome innovation in process as well as product and technology. This does not exclude the IT-oriented innovation recognised by the NASSCOM program, so if you have nominated there you should certainly nominate for the Consensus Student Innovation Awards, as well. The two programs are judged separately by different judging panels at different times of the school year. Nominations MUST be entered separately as there is no overlap in the assessment process; guaranteeing impartiality across the two programs. Individual students or teams of students with research projects or capstone projects in progress, or which have been completed in the past two semesters are eligible to nominate. Entries are open until the end of June 2014. Visit the Consensus Group website (consensus.au/sia_index.html ) to request an entry application, or contact me directly by replying to this email. The Consensus Group makes no claims of IP ownership on the entries and operates under a strictly imposed covenant of confidentiality throughout the program. All Terms & Conditions are contained in the entry application form. The Consensus Group started in 1999 with a focus of recognising excellence through a range of awards and recognition programs. Each program features clearly defined judging criteria, fully independent judges and awards made on merit with results Endorsed by Consensus. The Consensus Group are committed to supporting Australian and New Zealand innovation and enterprise by providing a development path and the tools for growth. Consensus works with selected Sponsors and Program Partners who can provide vital support services such as legal services, intellectual property protection, venture and equity capital raising, media and public relations, and export and overseas venture partner facilitation. Some recent major programs include: IBM WebSphere Challenge Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG) Reed Gift Award Call Centre and CRM Technology Awards (in association with CallCentres.net and the Consensus Manufacturing Awards in association with National Manufacturing Week). Consensus Software Awards Consensus IT Professional Awards Microsoft Global Potential Award Consensus IT Writers Awards NASSCOM Innovation Student Awards Please forward this to members of your cohort with innovative research or developments to show off to the world.
