Non-Christians, and even some Christians look at me funny - TopicsExpress

Non-Christians, and even some Christians look at me funny sometimes when I say I have a personal relationship with Jesus. I talk to him every day and he’s my oldest and most loyal friend. I hear back from him all the time too. That last sentence is usually the linchpin in their conclusion that I’m delusional. The thing is, Jesus doesn’t generally communicate with me in English and with language that I can hear with my ears. In fact he never has. To do so would be the same as my trying to communicate with my dog in similar fashion. Not very effective. I’ve learned to spot the other ways Jesus speaks to me. He’s a pretty advanced entity this Jesus. He speaks in many ways. Sometimes they are “vibrations” I can feel within my soul that communicate ideas or feelings to me. Sometimes (the most frequent one he uses with me) he speaks to me in manifestations in my life that I’ve leaned to recognize by trusting him. I feel bad for those waiting for Jesus to speak to them in English and in words they can hear. That’s generally not the way he communicates. Most of the time you have to look for him to communicate with you in uncanny ways. It’s all about “opening your eyes, and your ears, and your heart.” – Charles Toy, co-founder of The Christian Left
