Non-sense, Howard Stern! Yes, kudos to Israel for being a democracy in a sea of authoritarianism (and, BTW, most of these authoritarian regimes are under the US security umbrella). However, Israel is in no position to stand up for US in that part of the world. In fact, it has been a liability (a point underscored by realist scholars John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, for which they have been vilified in the US by lobby group/s). We send the Turks to Central Asia, not Israelis--as that would pose its own challenge.
