None of this has happened by accident. There is a tiny and very greedy power-broking elite, fronted by the political class of several western countries, who profit massively from the misery and suffering of ordinary folk across the globe. Their hunger for wealth and power is insatiable. They created this mess, sowing the seeds of suspicion and distrust, destabilising fragile countries and starting conflicts. Their hope was that they would be able to exploit the chaos they had created to increase their sphere of influence and control. However, its all gone a bit wrong. They have run into a brick wall in the form of Russia, China and Iran and they have allowed Islamist extremism, which they also helped grow, to get out of control. We are only able to construct the complete picture because of the internet and social media, which is why there have been a number of attempts by western governments to control both, and a massive increase in state surveillance of ordinary citizens in the name of national security. This tiny plutocratic elite have been rumbled and its not too late for us to stop them.
