Norcon is scheduled to complete construction of Northwesterns Garage in March 2015. “Inspired by the lore of Silicon Valley, where legendary companies such as Hewlett-Packard Inc. and Apple Co. were started in garages,” the Garage is a collaborative work space for student entrepreneurs that will include offices and a conference room. The space will have an industrial look, including garage doors, concrete floors, and white-board paint on all of the walls. The launch of this project was featured in Crain’s in March of 2014.
