Nordic nets pick up Driftwood A host of Nordic broadcasters have picked up UK preschool toon Driftwood Bay from the distribution arm of The Jim Henson Company. MTV and YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and SVT in Sweden are the latest broadcasters to acquire Driftwood Bay (52x7′), produced by UK prodco Sixteen South and distributed by Henson Independent Properties (HIP). Hop! in Israel, RTÉ in Ireland and Nick Jr in the UK have already picked up the toon, about a little girl who creates characters inspired by items that she finds washed ashore on an island’s beach.
