Norfolk Community League’s 2013 Person of the Year Who do you know that makes Norfolk a better place? Is it your child’s coach, a favorite teacher, or a helpful librarian? Maybe it’s your neighbor who always goes above and beyond for you and the rest of the community. Perhaps it’s someone who continuously donates her or his time, yard, or other talents. Maybe it’s someone of the Faith that helps unite the community in times of crisis. Who do you know that makes you love our Town more and more? We know that you’re thinking of someone…now tell us about her or him so that we too may honor this person. In 500 words or less, please submit a summary of what makes this person NCL’s 2013 Person of the Year. Entries may be submitted via email at nclpersonoftheyear.2013@gmail or in hard copy at the designated envelope located within the Norfolk Public Library. Entries will be accepted beginning September 16th through September 27th. Three entries (as selected by NCL’s Board) will then be posted electronically at nclgala as well as in hard copy at the Library. Vote for your favorite NCL Person of the Year electronically at nclgala or by submitting your vote in the designated box at the Library. Each Norfolk resident (this includes children) may vote once. Voting will open on October 14th and close at midnight on October 25th. To nominate someone, you must live in Norfolk. You may not nominate yourself. You may nominate a family member (spouse, sibling, parent or child). You must include your name and address on your nomination summary. No anonymous entries will be accepted. You do not need to be a member of the Norfolk Community League to nominate someone or to be a nominee (but if you aren’t a member, you should consider joining, for we share your enthusiasm for our Town). Also, you do not need to attend NCL’s annual Gala to nominate someone or to be a nominee. Lastly, all nominees must be 21 years of age or older.
