Normally QM2 leaves from Brooklyn and sails straight out to open water but the 6th of July was her 200th transatlantic crossing so Cunard were given special permission to sail round the Statue of Liberty which is no mean feat when you think of the size of the ship. It was a very slow manoeuvre with the NYPD providing an exclusion zone on the water and in the air with their helicopter. An amazing party as we left with a stunning view.
