Normally at the end of the year I am thinking, Good Riddance to - TopicsExpress

Normally at the end of the year I am thinking, Good Riddance to this year--hopefully on to a better year! Not this year. I had an absolutely fantastic year!! At this time last year, I was furiously stashing money away for a trip to Florida to see Melissa Fenner and Katie. In February I flew for the first time! Went to Disney World--someplace I never thought I would ever get to go!! Went to the Daytona 500--an amazing experience in itself! And watched Dale Jr WIN!!! How many times do you get to watch your favorite driver win a race in person?! Much less, the Daytona 500?! Amazing!!! Of course I had other fun times while I was there. Going to Golden Corral. Going to IHOP. Going to Old Town. Oh the joys of watching Katie on the rides!!! And of course, going to the beach the last day and Hamburger Marys that night! How I enjoyed the look on my brother Brians face!!! If the trip to Florida had been my only experience of the year, it would have been an amazing year! But it didnt stop there! While both parents had health crises, their surgeries both went fine. So with Derek Jeter retiring, Brian and I decided it was now or never if we wanted to see him play live. And since we both wanted to see New York City, we could knock 2 things off our bucket lists! So off to New York City we went! We went up in the Empire State Building! Went to Yankee Stadium and saw Derek Jeter play! Walked Times Square after the game and saw a Spray Paint Artist and bought 2 of his paintings! Walked to Central Park the next morning seeing many sights along the way. Took the scenic tour of the subways on our way to the World Trade Center site. Walked to where we could see the Statue of Liberty before coming home. It was an amazing trip!!! Then in August I was led to an another amazing opportunity. I was given the chance to change jobs and get away from a place that made me cry everyday. It was a scary choice. But I believe God led me to this opportunity. So who was I to tell him no? I miss the friends I used to work with, but I cant begin to tell you how happy I am to be working with my other friends again. Michelle Thompson and I have had so much fun since I have been back at KMart! It should be illegal! And probably is!! And I LOVE my new job at JoAnns!!! Working with Marie and Kathy and LA again has been awesome! And meeting new friends at both jobs has been great, too!!! Then in September, Brian and I decided we needed to see Derek Jeter once more, so we returned to New York City. This time we stayed in the Bronx. Maybe not such a great idea. The game was great! The seats were excellent! The rat on the way back to the hotel, not so friendly. The next day we went to the Bronx Zoo which was incredible! Didnt get to see the penguins so well have to make a trip back. What a shame!! So stay tuned!! 2014 was incredible!! Cant wait to see what 2015 brings!!
