Normally the wait to have your name put on a Bible is a day; except on Saturdays because were closed on Sundays. This kid, just going into the sixth grade, came up to my register this morning and asked when his Bible could have his name on it. I told him itd be done Monday. He looked sad, but understanding. The lady who was with him started talking to me. Hes really excited about his new Bible. His mom passed away a few months ago. My heart broke for the kid so I took his Bible and put his name on it for him while he waited. He reminded me of myself. Last night I watched Gods Not Dead (amazing btw) and the antagonist had a scene where he explained the reason he hated God was because He let his mom die when he was kid. That could have been me. In fact is that was me for a long time after my mom died. But God put people into my life to show me the love of Jesus. I just want to say thank you to all of you who played/play a part in that. The love of Jesus youve shown me and poured into me pushed me to Him. I could have been the bitter man who hates God, but Im the adopted child who gets excited about the Word.
