Norman Reedus To Star In New Silent Hill Video Game, developed by Guillermo Del Toro And Hideo Kojima Norman Reedus, of Walking Dead Fame, has been selected, by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, to star in the next installment of the Silent Hill video game series. Sony announced the awe inspiring collaboration on Tuesday at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany. The unique trailer, revealing the title as “Silent Hills”, features a mysterious man walking down a poorly lit street. When his face is finally revealed, we can see that it is Norman Reedus walking into the foggy town of Silent Hill. The teaser trailer is available from the PlayStation Store under the curious name “P.T.” Norman Reedus will supply his voice and likeness to the game, but here are no details as to whether he will play himself in the game, or another character that was created for him. The full length of the trailer is over 1 hour and sixteen minutes ling, with Norman Reedus appearing at about the 1 hour and sixteen minute mark. Norman Reedus is not the first actor to become a character in a video game. Kevin Spacey was privileged to be a villain in “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare”. Michael Jackson was himself in “Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker”, Mike Tyson in “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out”, and Burt Reynolds in “Saint’s Row The Third”, to name a few. The staff for the game is quite impressive, with names such as Akihiro Teruta, Akira Kanke, Hiroyuki Nakayama, Jorge Lescale, Keiichi Kono, Ken Mendoza, Kenichiro Imaizumi, Koichiro Ito, Kohei Tsuchiya, Ludvig Forssell, Masahiro Nose, Masakazu Kato, Masayuku Suzuki, Nobumitsu Tanaka, Shintaro Naka, Shogo Asai, Shota Hirasawa, Shunsuke Kanikawa, Soojin Kim, Takashi Nakagawa, Takayuki Aoki, Tsutomu Kokufu, Yasuhiro Ikoma, Youngho Kim, to name a few. Hide Kojima shared his vision for the Silent Hill series back in 2012, and it looks like Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro are going to help make it happen. “Silent Hill” is in closed room setting and doesn’t require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn’t have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engine.” Of course, it is too early to tell if there will be a movie follow up, but we can only hope that Norman Reedus has the opportunity to play his own character when and if it ever releases. https://youtube/watch?v=5yyRdk9G39o
