North Florida is hopping with large jumping spiders right - TopicsExpress

North Florida is hopping with large jumping spiders right now. Is this a female Phidippus regius (regal jumping spider)? My kid spotted it at a park. The coloration is very different from the black & white palette sported by the larger jumping spiders I usually see. Tough spider to capture on camera. In addition to only having my phone camera on hand, the spider was very friendly, and insisted on climbing all over me. It seemed to want to be on my face, which wouldve put it at kind of an awkward angle to photograph. Eventually, I convinced it to leave me alone and go on about its life. Thanks for helping me ID it!
