North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a assault that occurred in Kirkbymoorside. It happened at 6:30pm on Market Place outside the Spar store on Thursday, 8 January 2015 and involved a local 44-year-old male being punched to the head by another man known to him, causing facial injuries. We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the publics assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information from anybody who witnessed the assault take place.
