Echuca 11 26 Weather Situation A low pressure system in the south Tasman Sea will move to the south of New Zealand on Friday. A cold front will rapidly cross waters south of the Bight tonight, and cross Tasmania and Bass Strait later Friday with an associated low passing well south of Tasmania. The next high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Saturday, extending a ridge across Victoria. The ridge will remain across Victoria on Sunday as the high moves to western Bass Strait late in the day. The high will move east of Tasmania and into the Tasman Sea on Monday.
