Northern governors take action on senseless killings. Call for prayers The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF), on Monday, called on Nigerians, especially those living in the North, not to despair over the persistence of attacks on innocent citizens in the region. Chairman of the forum and governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, urged Nigerians to continue to pray to God to end the scourge of senseless killings of defenceless citizens. Governor Aliyu made the call in his reaction to the attack on some communities in Zamfara State, which reportedly led to the death of about 200 persons at the weekend. --- Sigh Prayers without action
