Norwalk Police interrupt burglary at Kendall Elementary School. Patrol Officers from the 1st Platoon responded to an activated burglar alarm at Kendal Elementary School at 4:09 am this morning. Upon their arrival they located burglary tools and a shopping cart beneath an open window. They then located and detained two people attempting to leave the school. During the investigation it was discovered that the two detainees had collected 22 lap top computers, cash and other items that they were going to steal from the school. Based on the investigation Makenzie Pellini, 18, of 5 Rockmeadow Road, and Matthew White, 19, of 65 George Ave. were taken into custody at the scene. Both were charged with Burglary 3rd, Larceny 4th, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia within 1500 of a School, Criminal Trespass 2nd and Conspiracy. Both were held on a $15,000.00 bond. It was also learned that the pair had broken into a vehicle on Fillow St. and stolen items. They were also charged with Burglary 3rd, Larceny 4th and Conspiracy for this crime. White was brought to the Norwalk Court today and Pellini is due in court on Oct. 10, 2014.
