Not Cake related... but many of you are parents like us and you will be able to relate. Today, we took our 3 1/2 year old daughter for her first day in part time preschool. She was excited and was happy to be there! Now the FUN part.. as dad was parking the van... Jared, now 7, went in with us and asked to enter the classroom. He went up to Aikas teacher and asked if there was a restroom/toilet inside.. and asked to see it. He then asked the sweet lady who brought us in , also the owner, Beth , if they had Specials and if she was the principal , we laughed as she said, he will probably ask for my ID next ... and he also asked to check the playground. When he got back in , we were in giggles and asked him if the playground was to his satisfaction. He said it was good ! He was in Full Big Brother mode and it was fascinating to see that . When Jim got back in , we said Jared has checked the place out already. Another moment, another first for our family. I am happy to share this with you :) Cakes are cakes-- but when cakes enable me to stay at home and be with my children more -- cakes become far more special :) Hope you are having a great day ! And here in the USA we celebrate Veterans Day -- a big salute to the brave men and women - thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedom .
