Not Hitting The Spot 21/11/14 Twirls and curls do not always impress, not all will like not always will I hit harmonious chords with those I meet and share. Dont be sad I tell myself, Thats ok. Lines and words are not always appreciated. Sometimes I am greeted with discouraging opinions not designed not aimed but hitting, people preferring other subjects, other styles and saying so. From my own experience of what is better to hear I need to learn what is better to say. When I read, hear, look at something residing in the world of the arts that does not go with my own notes kindly and no harmonious chords emerge what is best to do? When asked by the artist, the writer, the composer for a definite opinion, politeness is the key and graciousness is the melody. When my heart, my eyes, my mind does not respond delightedly, all at once I need to look a little longer for some worth, perhaps some hidden beauty to recognize any talent and applaud. The appreciation of the Arts is about preferences not truth, but encouragement is my desired name. Hopefully I can, I will look beyond my own narrow likes... yes look beyond and see value..
