Not Your Average Rodeo: SEC linemen Brad Ashwell & Greg Ayers (atop pole) disassemble line equipment and lower it to fellow lineman & team member Steve Carson below, before preparing to ascend. The 3-man team recently competed in the journeyman division at the 12th Annual Gaff n Go Linemens Rodeo, earning 1st place in the Bucket Truck Rescue and 2nd place finishes in both the Hurt Man Rescue & the 600 Amp Switch Change-Out. SEC linemen Travis Layne, Kinte Robinson & Ashley Tuck also competed in the journeyman division, bringing home 3rd place in the CPR & AED event. In the Apprentice Division, SEC linemen grabbed a number of top-3 finishes, including Brandon Rust with a 1st place in CPR w/ AED, Trevor Robertson with 2nd place finishes in both the Hurt Man Rescue and Climbing Skills Demo, and 3rd place finishes by Bobby Moseley in the Written Test & Brandon Rust in the Overall (combined score) apprentice competition.
