Not all toys are created equal! Depending on the toy and how intense of a chewer your dog is, some supervision may be required when your dog plays. Serious health complications can come from a dog swallowing an entire toy, or chewing off pieces and ingesting them. Here you see little Bella deciding to pull off the fuzz and chew off pieces of her tennis ball when not actively engaged in fetch! Always be careful when giving your dog a toy or chew treat, especially those that are small, easily destroyed, or dissolve quickly! Ask one of our Wag University trainers for suggestions on toys and chew treats, as well as toys that should be supervised and those that can be left with your dog for longer periods of time!
