Not being caucasian does not make it okay to be a racist. Being black, brown, yellow or red does not entitle you go hate white or any other shade different to your own anymore than being white entitles anyone to express so distaste for non-whites. Being from a nation which generations ago suffered endlessly under colonial rule does not make it okay to be corrupt, criminal or devoid of ethics. Scum is scum whatever your grandparents endured in their lifetimes. Having little formal education in this information age does not justify being stupid or rude any more than having a first class education does. Asserting your membership in some religion, be it Islam (as I do), Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism or any other belief/anti-belief system, unlike our actions, establishes virtually nothing about who we are as individuals. As a muslim I can say that I have met just as many low life Muslims as I have met low lifes from any other religion. As a corollary I have known many fine people from every religion and no shortage of fine atheists. The consequences of other peoples religious choices are none of my business but when their improper conduct or words impact on me and mine, it is very much my business. This simple fact says no more about Muslims than it does about people of any other faith or even those who have no faith. Should I go on with this or is my point already clear enough?
