‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord - TopicsExpress

‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. Finally Kenyans have triumphed again and we have to Greatly thank God as we continue to pray for those who lost their beloved ones and those in hospital we wish them quick recovery. My life as a volunteer with the Kenya Red Cross Society has been "Always there.." when disasters strike, when the call to respond at the WestGate mall came in,it was like another day of service to humanity, which I have always beloved is service to God. When I arrived at Ground Zero everything changed in a flash..."This was not happening in Kenya"....I beat a hasty retreat when I found myself surrounded by over 20 heavily armed security personnel..... I said a prayer and sent text messages to few people I could remember telling them of my intention to get into the building, guys thought this was my height of insanity... When I look back and reflect on the happenings of the day only God could have protected us.... Unlike the Security forces who were heavily armed, our armour was the power of THE CROSS,we moved from floor to floor evacuating our fellow Kenyans and had to take cover every now and then when the fighting raged,we moved in to evacuate our injured officers, despite the fumes from tear Gas canisters we didnt cough nor shed a tear,at one time we had to suspend the operations and focus on putting out fire that had been started by the terrorists,we also had to let the building clear of smoke before we resumed operations. An explosive device in the parking lot made us wonder how many more could be in that place, were we walking into booby traps?.....Despite the lurking danger by being inside the Mall we gave hope to Kenya whose citizens were trapped inside. I thank God for blocking the sensible part of our mind and giving "Courage under Fire to serve HIM". I would like to take the Opportunity to thank Kenyans for the little contribution in thought and acts of kindness during this delicate period in our country. Mathew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ "MUNGU IBARIKI KENYA"
