Not every day our teams write poems about their rally cars! A short poem about Suzie Driving suzie subaru, Lightning quick and shark-ish blue, Wheels a’spinning, discs of gold, You’ve never seen a car so bold. She’s rusty in her undercarriage, But she can handle four mens baggage, Put your foot down, feel her power, Make roads beneath her shake and cower. Arrive in europe, night time spark, The belgians only saw her dark, Getting stares from autobahners, Attention is just what she garners. Through the mountain passes green, Sunlight glinting off her sheen, Snaking through to budapest, She roars a laugh when we stop to rest. But now we’re crossing kazakh land, Her wonky wheel runs through the sand, Many a crater and pothole, Have upon her bumper taken toll. Surely kazakhs ministry of roads, Is full of lazy, warty toads, Can’t we take some cash from oil, And lay some tarmac on this turmoil. Hoisted up in Master Garage, Suzies prone to some disparage, But there is nothing we wouldn’t do, For our marvellous blue Suzie Q.
