Not every ending is sad. Day 5 Last night we actually had a few moments of free time. There was an East Side Marios in the parking lot, so we walked over for a pop and appetizers. After what seemed like hours I made my way back to the trailer, rueing the idea that instead of going to bed early Id stayed up until...9:30? Its only 9:30? Wow, was I tired. I woke up this morning to condensation on my top blanket. It was pretty cold last night. Once again the Sears store in Moncton went over and above. They had offered to let us stay inside overnight on their awesome beds, I declined. Our bunks may be primative, but they are comfortable, and I feel kind of guilty wimping out, when the kids I ride have no real choice but to stay the course. After an awesome breakfast (thank you Sears), we had a short shuttle just outside of town to start our 218 km ride to Lower Sackville,NB, but first a quick tire change for Don,and our dedication. Today we rode for Aiden. Aiden died of undifferentiated sarcoma the day before his second birthday. His short but happy life included almost a year of intense cancer treatment. Half of his life was cancer treatment. Needless to say, I did not complain about my sore knee, or nether regions or even my frozen feet this morning, life sometimes has a way of showing you what real suffering is, just to keep you in line. Our winding route kept us guessing whether the wind would be for or against us around every corner, and the company of Shelley Wood made life just a little better. The only other noteworthy part of todays ride was the big BONK. For those who ride, you understand, for those who dont, just imagine suddenly being so tired that you get dizzy and are willing and ready sleep wherever you are. I totally ran out of gas at about the 190km mark. Im talking send someone to the gas station because were stopped on the side of the road empty. Unfortunately, when we refill the body, the fuel takes a little while to make it to the engine. I had about 5 kilometers of scarey, sleepy hell. They say suffering is good for the soul. My soul should be happy for a few weeks now. Did I mention that he died before his second birthday? email.e2rm/wf/click?upn=l8DZKq2zLBkVtnn16G0GeaHJENBGksc8q-2FPXRvKaiNrTWrqhbezaVj4bSaRRviXuJEpSBWGLNRzMDmbq7pvst-2FWoCa23hRch9lSVegwO1kmcUU0U-2ByVzEJUCeAacohaZwus43uQ4-2FF89ZfpfplrhDQ-3D-3D_YTZfjejMCtbxtvEuMX8-2FvMGsSnoMft3qCDd-2BuEy-2Btk7LQXS8KS6kU6Pnyg-2BBxlgG-2BAbxq5JaV8T5F-2F3ts2n-2FdKqbkqlQ4KVWyXnHBO42HDWaY9yst4gWfo1LYlTzOaNr07fnZNbdqAvUL-2F1Y7rhyUz3S9mKkdzRB95HsvdpNvGHb521ysjun-2BHHzpILFWO86GGf-2FkV0r896oCpjLMLWy6NCPOEWZOkJFEM6OqB0wqGe5WMeT-2BuhIrnB5KRXDYm5Sm9IyTl-2BWKCJ-2FjvpG7L4D3Bt8cBN5EDTkfG8jGM39Bx5odgkqcpXhBbFgv3cYzHxwty1VUJsE1ZnN5B4J6WIKHJgxzLbt64BJta4T-2BTEa77ANF8-2BwyU2OClVohGBzZuqfzcz3TTxKx5aqrZpzv-2Buk5LpoxW2i5wweXfc21RaGRzR-2FVkjkIYTJzm4m-2FqrmX3thJSjh25aIL-2Bh2rM47rtvFYajRyR7k4Yg42MUDA4uQKC-2Fl7kTAU-2Ffx5FQYDk4T1cVIXoBPHV-2B57Rxx7-2FkU0ZhFtTW9cWDDl-2FkOz95QIR2TH
