Not everyone is or will have a close relationship with their mother. I happen to be very close with mine. However, “mother” is a title that isn’t restricted to it’s traditional definition. This female importance can come in the form of a daughter, sister, aunt, god-mother, best friend’s mom, random woman on the train, pen-pal, boss, co-worker, client, friend, cousin, girlfriend, and many more social “roles.” This female energy is a necessary aspect of our human existence. This energy has the kind of love you don’t need maps for. Because it just is. It’s unconditional, and it exists in a realm of reality that does not know time in the same ways we try to know and control it.
