Not everyone is unanimous in their derision of the new LTA Taxi-taxi@Sg app. Bookies were thrilled at the introduction of yet another thing they can turn into a gambling game, which is to guess how many taxis there are in a given area. They have applied to LTA to use the apps infrastructure to turn it into a app which can show users where the bookies are (so as to save time in finding them to place bets on the number of taxis). The app will be called... obviously, Bookies-bookies@SG. Meanwhile I just found out that Cambodians sometimes bet on the weather. If you see a bunch of Khmers sitting out in the field looking up in the sky, it is what they are doing.
