Not everyone that I know was able to spend time at my g-mas house in Rescue and Im sorry that you didnt. I loved that place so much. My super awesome boyfriend Morales Jav went up the Cameron Park Lake with me over the weekend. Since we were so close, I had to go by. Luckily, no one lives there right now so we walked the property. Im making a photo album of the pictures we took. I could almost see my grandma washing dishes through the front kitchen window. I could have sworn I heard her voice twice. And the thing that I thought was greatest was that the piano that James Meadows helped move into the house before G-ma moved to Sacramento, the piano shed waited her whole life to have, was the only piece of furniture left in the house. Every memory flooded through my head from Christmas parties, holidays, birthdays, every time I fell and hurt myself, which was just about every square foot of that property. Grandma making me toast and hot chocolate for breakfast, wrapping Christmas lights around the front tree...that, incidentally, have grown into the tree because we never took them down. Ever bump and bruise, every sickness, every hug from grandma, from family, from friends, I was so excited to be there. I felt my grandma all around the house. Whoever bought it has kept it almost exact. There has been one owner who lived there. Now it looks like someone is flipping it. Not extravagantly, but almost exactly how Grandma would have wanted it. It was a day full of laughter and tears and I am so glad that we went there and that I was able to share my home with Jav in some way, even if not in all ways.
