Not everything is as it seems, and beware phoney Gurus, I woke - TopicsExpress

Not everything is as it seems, and beware phoney Gurus, I woke up this morning mad as hell, about something that occurred just recently this past summer. The more I thought about it, the more it was something real shady hidden way in the back up under somthing encased in an unmarked box and covered with a nondescript old blanket so as not to draw attention, When I first started studying Martial Science it was fun and interesting and I met alot of people and learned a lot of things, from the time I started LINE Combatives in the Marines to the point I started formal training at Long Beach City College and San Soo at the local gym. This learning trend continued for may years until one day the Original Teacher of one of the people teaching me karate showed up and took over, and things strted to change, slowly but surely, we who had been together for about 10 years at this time came under this persons style of instruction, and it started to become routine humdrum and very boring and started to Dead End, and stagnate, after a while I started to see somethings that the others did not pick up on or notice, and that our training was doing a lot of feverish activity, but only going in circles and getting nowhere fast, secretly I started to question what was being taught to me, because it seemed somehow incomplete and incorrect, but still I could not put my finger on it, there was something not right almost Shady about this man, despite appearances, he wasnt quite who he claimed and what he said he was, As a friend in Okinawa revealed recently this year the truth about this person..., while he seemed to know the obvious, the key ingredients to the whole process were missing and he didnt seem to know them nor had he ever heard of them or other things when I just happened to ask questions out of curiosity, when I did some further checking in Okinawa there was no record nor any way to verify anything he claimed about his level of training, until a friend of mine dropped a bombshell, that anyone associated with a particular group of trainees were censured, and received disaccommodation and invalidation, meaning they were not registered Black Belts under the Association they claimed, in fact most had been given or paid for their belts, or had gotten them in as short a time as 3 months to 18 months in a school that normally take 5 to 10 years to complete that level of training,. Then taking all of that into account this morning and the history told to me by another person when I first started Training in Karate, made sense, that another Japanese instructor well established in the United States refused to recognize one of this persons most prolific and well trained students for advancement to Black Belt, , given this person level of skill. which could only be described as legendary at that time.. but because this person was his teacher he was rejected... All at once it became real clear why, the guy was a phoney a scammer who used his students skill to gain credibility, when he himself had no real credentials, he went so far as to make up a so called hybrid style that was crap, totally useless, once I realized what any real Karate Instructor would have known right off the bat, there is no such animal as what he claimed to have given rise to as a system of Karate, they are too dissimilar and opposed in application in reality, but to someone who would not know it would pass for authentic Karate, but when in fact it was not, just something he put together and stuck a name on and called it a certain Style.. It was at this point it hit me, all the questions I had asked and he never really seemed to know what the hell I was talking about nor could answer my questions, along with this so called style that the Japanese would laugh their asses off at , had they ever got a chance to see it or hear about it, also the facts revealed by my fiend from Okinawa who is right in the same area as the school this man went to for Karate in Okinawa, and the most damaging part he knew the word of the wisdom he professed but did not understand them or adhere to them, it turns out he was a Phoney masquerading as a Guru, it seems a lot of men return from the vietnam war had had combat training or taken Karate In Japan or Okinawa but were never given or Granted Teaching credential, which the association in Okinawa explained when looking for any record of him, that they forged certificated or just made them up or were promoted without the necessary amount of time in training to teach, and came back to the United States and Opened Karate Schools, but were not only not fit to teach but never authorized to teach under their association or school name.., which in this case none of his students can grade in either Okinawa nor can they Grade in Japan, because he is not recognized or authorized to teach and never was, it turns out he was a Phony all along and no one ever exposed it, so he got himself validated by an organization here in the United States that is not recognized in Japan or Okinawa as being Authentic or having the Authority to grant rank or title.. boy did he pull the wool over a lot of peoples eyes, this guy was a total Con and Bulllshit Artist not a Martial Artist and a Phony Guru
