Not for the first time my music has been commented upon but what happened last night Upstairs @Avesta, (home of Kizomba Merseysides mid-week Kizomba class & Club dancing, has never happened before and made me a little emotional, I must confess. As usual, it was coming to the end of the night and I announced last record coming up... Some people seemed to be in a state of shock and I heard...WHAT..LAST RECORD? NOO! End of the record came, people just stood clapping and cheering, then began shouting...please dont stop, keep it going. Oh ok then, one more, I said. There were a bunch of new people who had joined us first time, some brand new to Kizomba ...all joining in and just having a swell of a time! At then end of that, more cheers, clapping and shouting MORE, MORE, MORE! I kept feeding them MORE and still it didnt seem to satisfy and finally about 45 mins beyond normal time I had to stop. I gotta say... and please dont misunderstand, am not so arrogant as to even compare myself but I imagine that is the kind of appreciation that Deejays hope to receive when their job is done! I was flattered and gob-smacked. Thank you all those people who made my night with their appreciation of my passion for Kizomba and music ;-) xx
