Not gonna lie - the MacFadyen household is not an enviable place to be right now. Dan, Zach and I have the flu, and were keeping a close eye on Jake. Doc wanted me to get a flu test to see if I could get Tamiflu, but Im past the window anyway since my symptoms started on Saturday. Didnt really want to pay for a test when theres nothing they can do for the flu or any other virus (and if its bacterial, Im on an antibiotic anyway). Im also back on antibiotics - Azithromycin this time (better known as a Z pack but its 2 pills the first day and 1 pill daily for 2 weeks). This is due to my blood panel taken on Monday, not the flu/cold/whatever, and is meant to fight the infection given off by the clot. Were so thankful Danielle Doan is here to take care of us! Its been over 72 hours since discontinuing the other antibiotic, and this is the 6th day Ive been sick with this bug, so really hoping I get over this additional sickness soon so we can see if the fevers go away.
