Not good news for this Philadelphia trip. Unfortunately, Ava has more regrowth of tumors in both eyes and will require new treatments. A neurosurgeon will thread a catheter through the vessel in her groin up through her neck and then to the artery in her right eye and deliver a very high dose chemo. 2 days later she will have chemo injected directly into her left eye. This intra arterial chemo will occur for months or until they are satisfied. We are very sad for this news and nervous for these new procedures but hopeful that they will be able to preserve her eyes. Please keep our sweet pea in your thoughts and prayers. She will, once again, endure things that no child should.
