Not half a century yet. Nonetheless, having gone through what my family, my people have gone through, just being alive is nothing short of a miracle. But I have a good job, a beautiful family, many beautiful friends, a home to keep me and family warm, food in the fridge, and although America isnt perfect, I am living proof of what the American Dream truly is. Today is my day of birth. It is a good day for me but may not be so good day for someone else. I am thankful, I am grateful, and I could only hope for good things for my fellow man, woman, and child. May your challenges make you stronger, wiser and full of hope. May we all do our parts to contribute positively to humanity and to this crazy and beautiful world.
