Not looking forward to tomorrow. Ive been to a ton of funerals. My fathers, step mothers, friends, you name it. But this.....this is going to be a true test of my strength. Known her for 16 years married for 14. Have a wonderful step son, she had a wonderful step daughter and i also had a beautiful 10 yr old daughter with Ellen. However SLAM said the book and that chapter has been closed. She is at peace and because of that i can in a strange way accecpt that her suffering is over and she is in a better place. But what or where does one go from here. That remains to be seen. Right now my only focus is the kids, and myself. For if i fall apart the kids have no one. I cannot.....will not let that happen. So i would like to thank everyone of you that have donated, sent messages, prayed, came up to the hospital to see her, picked up jena or brought over dinner. Also would like to thank the nurses at St John 6 north. They were some of the nicest, professional, just over all great people that in our time of hell made some of my days but mostly her days as good as they could be. This has been one hell of a year. Our familys future is now unwritten. But as we take our steps forward and cross the many bridges we need to cross i know one thing. Ellen will always be in my heart and with me all the time, as well as the kids. For that i am thankful that she gave me everything she did. Taught me so much, and truly helped mold me into the man i am today. I love you Ellen Coates Whisman and always will. Your are forever in my heart and my soul.
