Not lost, but not easily found and not on display to the public. Mersey Railway No.1 The Major, Beyer Peacock 2601/1885 quietly rusting away in up country NSW, November 1999. My last kop of extant BR and constituents steam locos until they started building modern copies! My picture, do what you like with it - best l could do at the time, couldnt get further back due a rusting hulk at my back, and l had to scale that fence in the background. I believe the loco is now even more lost to rust stored hidden away at a place called Trainworks Railway Museum (!)
